Designed with love in Aotearoa, the Whale Shark Cosy Coat is a waterproof, windproof, oversized, changing coat made from recycled materials and lined with buttery soft, quick-drying sherpa fleece. The exterior features our signature Whale Shark-inspired print, celebrating the gentle giants we're helping protect, with $10 from every sale being donated to Whale Shark conservation, and another portion of the profits going towards empowering ocean women.

Care instructions
1. Pre-wash prep:
- Shake out sand & debris
- Fasten all zips and velcro tabs to protect the recycled nylon shell
- Turn the coat inside-out to shield the sherpa fleece
2. Washing
- Machine-wash on a cold, gentle cycle
- Use a mild, biodegradable detergent
- Avoid fabric softeners & bleach- they clog waterproof membranes and break down recycled fibres
- If heavily salted, give the coat a quick cold-water rinse first
3. Drying
- No tumble-dryers please. High heat damages waterproof coatings and melts fleece fibres
- Hang to drip-dry in the shade, shell side out.
- Shake midway to fluff the sherpa fleece
4. Re-Proofing (Water-Repellent Boost)
- After 20-30 washes, or when water stops beading, use any PFC-free spray-on or wash in DWR (durable water-repellent) treatment designed for nylon shells.
- Follow product directions, then air-dry.
SHIPPING & RETURNS
We aim to process all orders within 1–4 business days. (If you were part of the first pre-order of the Cosy Coats, you can expect delivery by early November). All orders are sent via standard tracked shipping, but if you need your order sooner, please reach out via our contact page and we’ll do our best to help.
Any additional shipping charges (if applicable), such as tariffs, are the responsibility of the buyer. If these fees are not paid and the item is returned to us, any shipping costs may be deducted from your refund.
All of our packaging is fully home compostable - please dispose of it according to the instructions on the package. You can even reuse it by cutting along the dotted line once you receive your order!
We do not accept returns for change of mind, but if your item arrives damaged or faulty, please take a photo before wearing and contact us within 14 business days. Return shipping costs are at the buyer’s discretion.
