Shipping policy
At Dive Like a Girl, we’re committed to delivering your order with care, clarity, and as little environmental impact as possible. This shipping policy outlines how we process, package, and send your items — and what to expect along the way. By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined below.
Order Processing
All orders are processed within 1–7 business days (excluding weekends and public holidays). You’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking details once your order has shipped.
Pre-orders
For items listed as pre-order, estimated dispatch dates are stated clearly on the product page. By placing a pre-order, you agree to the stated timeframes. If any unexpected changes occur, we’ll contact you via email.
Shipping Rates & Delivery
We ship from Auckland, New Zealand using reliable, tracked courier services. This is usually done under standard shipping times, however if you would like an item express shipped, please contact us directly.
Shipping costs are non-refundable once an item has been dispatched.
Customs, Duties & Import Fees
All international orders are shipped under Delivered Duties Unpaid (DDU) terms.
This means:

Import taxes, duties, or any other fees required by your country’s customs are not included in the product or shipping price.

These charges are the responsibility of the customer and may be required before delivery.

Customs regulations vary by country. If you are unsure, please check with your local customs office before ordering.
Dive Like a Girl is not responsible for any customs delays or charges. If you refuse to pay these fees and the item is returned, we will issue a refund minus original shipping costs and any additional return shipping fees incurred.
Tracking & Delivery Issues
You will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information once your order is dispatched. Please allow up to 48 hours for tracking to update after dispatch.
We are not liable for:

Delays caused by customs processing, courier backlogs, or postal service issues

Parcels lost or stolen after being marked as “delivered” by the courier

Incorrect shipping addresses submitted at checkout

Returns & Exchanges
Due to the small-batch, made-to-order or hygienic nature of many of our products, we do not accept returns for change of mind or incorrect sizing.
If your item arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect:

Please contact us within 14 days of delivery at britney@divelikeagirlnz.com with your order number and photos of the issue.

We will assess the situation and may offer a replacement, store credit, or refund in accordance with New Zealand Consumer Law and the Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA).
To be eligible for a return (if approved), items must be unused and in original condition. Return shipping is at the customer’s expense unless otherwise agreed.
Sustainability Commitment
We ship with intention. All packaging is home-compostable, and products are made using recycled materials wherever possible. Our small-batch approach reduces waste and ensures every order reflects our care for the ocean and the community that loves it.
