Hi, I’m Britney Jeffs, marine scientist, diver, and founder of Dive Like a Girl. The ocean has always been my anchor - my peace, my connection, my purpose - and I wanted to create a way for more women to feel the same. But for years, I often felt out of place in the ocean spaces I loved. As a young scientist and diver, I battled anxiety, didn’t know where to ask the “silly” questions, and struggled to find safe, supportive spaces with like-minded women. Too often, the only company was men who unintentionally pushed boundaries or didn’t understand the challenges women face underwater.

What I learned is this: belonging isn’t about proving yourself - it’s about showing up, exactly as you are. From that belief, Dive Like a Girl was born: a movement where women can dive deeper - into the ocean, into community, and into themselves. But it’s not just about confidence and connection. I wanted every part of Dive Like a Girl - our trips, workshops, and divewear - to advocate for the ocean we love.

Every adventure we run is conservation-focused, designed to give participants hands-on experience, connect them with local ecosystems, and raise awareness about the challenges facing our seas. Every piece of divewear is intentionally crafted by women, for women, to move with real bodies and spark conversation about ocean protection. We use what we create to educate, inspire, and fund real marine conservation projects.

Through trips, community spaces, and our products, Dive Like a Girl has grown into a global sisterhood of ocean advocates. Every dive, every workshop, and every purchase fuels real impact - supporting marine research, empowering women, and nurturing a love for the ocean that will last a lifetime.
