Night Dive (Wellington)

🌙 Wellington Mermaids! Never done a night dive? This is your chance to experience the magic! ✨

Hey, fellow Mermaids! I’m Camilla (that’s me in the Seahorse photo!), an instructor at Dive HQ Wellington, and I’d love to invite you to a Dive Like a Girl exclusive, Guided Night Dive! – NO NIGHT DIVING EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

I absolutely love night diving - The ocean goes through a "shift change" – when the daytime critters clock out, and the night crew arrives! Seahorses, nocturnal nudibranchs, squid, occasional bioluminescence ✨and so much more!

This is why I’m keen to share the experience with you & have organised discounted gear hire just for the event if you don’t have your own.

🔦 What to expect:
🌊 A pre-dive briefing with essential night diving tips
🐙 A guided shore dive for Open Water certified divers and above
👩‍🏫 Professionally run with emergency equipment on site – so you’ll be in safe hands!
🍫 Hot chocolate after the dive to warm up and share the adventure!
🤝 No buddy? No worries! I’ll pair you up with someone.

 

Numbers will be limited to how many torches we’ll need – we have several for hire but if you have your own or have spares, please let me know! We need at least one torch per person and one backup per buddy team. I also have a few spare video lights if you want to bring a camera or go-pro, these will be on a first come, first served basis (no charge). More information/forms will be sent via email closer to the time, including forms to return ASAP regarding certification information, a medical declaration, T&C’s and a gear rental agreement (please keep an eye out in your inbox and make sure to check spam). If you are needing to rent gear, this will be directly paid by you to Dive HQ, Wellington by invoice before the day.

Wellington has some of the most diverse diving in the country, including wrecks, reefs, reserves, hunting grounds and no shortage of muck diving.
