Land Volunteer Ambassador Form

Brief overview & key information:

  • You will be the facilitator and key point of reference for our members and other organizations on the day of the event. 
  • People will be liable for their own safety at our events, however it is essential that you encourage a safe and supportive environment at all times. 
  • You will be required to speak on behalf of DLGNZ and may need to run activities (eg. ice-breakers) at our events, in a way that aligns with our values and promotes a safe, fun and positive environment.
  • You will need to have good interpersonal skills in order to uphold DLGNZ's reputation with members and other organizations/businesses involved.  
  • A passion for the ocean is a must!

  • Free ticket on paid events that you are facilitating (excluding gear hire).

Steps:

  1. Fill out this form.
  2. You will be contacted by DLGNZ in regards to whether or not we have decided to proceed with your application. 
  3. If chosen to proceed, we will arrange a zoom call meeting.
  4. If accepted after this point (congratulations!) you will be contacted and sent everything you need to know.

*Note: we may only require a certain amount of volunteers from the same area. However, we will be happy to keep your application on file for if needed at a later date.

Liability

Dive Like a Girl NZ is not liable for volunteers, anyone and any events that may unfold in relation to Dive Like a Girl NZ. Volunteers understand that there are risks associated with water activities and will do what they can to minimize those hazards and always encourage safe practices to others. 

Position

As a volunteer ambassador of Dive Like a Girl NZ, I am not entitled to abuse this position under any circumstances. All actions made by volunteers are to be approved by Dive Like a Girl NZ first.

Reputation

Volunteers will have Dive Like a Girl NZ's reputation to uphold and therefore shall speak and act in alignment with our values on positivity, inclusiveness and safety. This includes with Dive Like a Girl NZ, volunteers, other members, members of the public, relevant partners and online. Reports of otherwise will be taken very seriously, we reserve the right to remove you at any time from a volunteer position.

Circumstance Changes

Volunteers agree to keeping Dive Like a Girl NZ up to date of any relevant changes to their circumstances that will effect the reputation and/or safety of Dive Like a Girl NZ, themselves and others. Eg: Medical and criminal.
